Mobility Scooter Sighting 69 - Stoke Newington, London
Pavecraft lover Joe Rudkin of London snapped this wonderfully gorgeous crimson example of a well loved mobility scooter on the high street in Stoke Newington. The worn plastic exterior belies the power beneath of this powerful beast that is equivalent to 0.8 BHP - or perhaps that should be about 2 Shetland ponies worth? Have you noticed the steamed-up windows of this vehicle, I wonder what has been going on in there, perhaps the gentleman is getting understandably excited over the picture of local beauty HM Queen Elizabeth II that hangs from the rafters?

Mobility Scooter Sighting 68 - Brighton, Sussex
Here a Mobility Scooter is being towed away by Sussex council in downtown Brighton by an impounder’s truck. Let’s hope it’s not being taken to the boneyard to be crushed. Anecdotal evidence suggested the poor pavecraft became marooned on a double yellow line due to excessive battery usage - thus draining it of it’s lifegiving power. But the upside to this sorry debacle is that the traffic wardens would have got their commission for this episode - perhaps they will spend their bounty on the popular Bounty chocolate bar? Thanks to the Blind Tiger Club for submitting this picture.

Mobility scooter spotter and father of two John Burns of Newport tailed this sporty 4WD vehicle in the fine city of Newport, Gwent until he framed the right shot in front of the city’s famed Leaning Pole of Newport. It was also noted that the vehicle was parked up round the corner from Charles street where the driver hopped out and mounted his mobility scooter and then trundled into the Job Centre…

Mobility Scooter Sighting 66 - Llantrisant, Sir Glamorgan
What a great way to travel to a DIY store and be frugal with parking too, why by electric light orchestrated transportation! Hmm how will they transport home their wood and flatpack cargo? Perhaps they lay the planks between them and travel back to their woodshop in tandem? Or perhaps they’ve just popped in for meatballs and some sneaky dogging in the bedroom section?

Mobility Scooter Sighting 64 - Dunwich Heath, Suffolk
This tramping scooter was spotted outside the National Trust information hut on Dunwich Heath, Suffolk, it is waiting to whisk away crippled ornithologists on their pan-heath adventures. Middle class people use pavecraft a lot less than their working class cousins. The National Trust is often the first place they will witness other middle class people trying them out. As the NT offers its cultural stamp of approval the shy middle classes are starting to accept them as more than just electric cattle trucks for obese degenerate slobs. Thus eroding their snobbery to the mighty mobility scooter.

Mobility Scooter Sighting 62 - Tottenham, London
This well polished pavecraft was spotted waiting outside Tottenham’s best pub the Volunteer whilst the nearby London Paralympics were on, no doubt the rider being disabled himself would have been in the pub enjoying the events live on television. The international bunting providing a real distraction and a hard choice for all the international arrivals in the city to make, one Canadian traveller was overheard to mutter, ‘shall I endure the crowds and public transport hell of Stratford, or just sit back and relax at The Volunteer?’.

A pavecraft proud rider covers his ride whilst betting on his equine friends, the metal pole at the rear is not for launching Inter Continental Ballistic Missles at the British Conservative Party headquarters, but surprisingly to carry his crutches.
